5 lb Yukon hold potatoes
1 stick unsalted butter, or more
1 block cream cheese
1 cup heavy cream, or more
1 ½ tbsp Garlic & Herb Butter, optional
Salt and Pepper to taste

1 stick unsalted butter, or more
1 block cream cheese

Step 1
Add cleaned potatoes to a large pot with water and a couple tablespoons of salt. Bring to a boil and cook until fork tender, about 10-12 minutes. Drain potatoes and add back to the pot.
Step 2
If you want to remove the potato skins, remove them at this point.
Step 3
Start mashing the potatoes with a potato masher then add in the stick of butter and continue mashing.
Step 4
Add the block of softened cream cheese and stir it in.
Step 5
Add the heavy cream and stir it in until fully combined.
Step 6
Season with salt and pepper, add in the garlic herb butter if using and mix until fully combine. Taste the potatoes and add any extra salt/pepper if needed.
Step 7
Depending on the consistency you’d like for your potatoes, you can add more or less of any of these ingredients, taste as you go and add more of what you love.
Step 8
Serve the potatoes in a baking dish topped off with more garlic herb butter and freshly chopped chives if using.
Step 9
Serve and enjoy!
